o 1 Place: 1-3 Riders 100%
o 2 Places: 4-6 Riders 70%/30%
o 3 Places: 7+ Riders 50%/30%/20%
Event Rules:
· Barrel Racing:
o Time begins and ends when rider crosses the score line, as determined by the timers. Only a clover leaf pattern is legal. Breaking pattern or the timer barrier will result in a no time. Each barrel knocked over is a 5 second penalty.
· Pole Bending:
o Time begins and ends when rider crosses the score line, as determined by the timers. Only a standard pattern is legal. Breaking the pattern or breaking timer barrier will result in a no time. Each pole knocked down is a 5 second penalty.
· Goat tying:
o Time will begin when contestants cross the score line, as determined by the timers.
o The goat will be tied to a stake at the end of the arena. Horses must not cross goat tether, if your horses touches or steps over a NT is awarded.
o A legal tie is any 3 legs. Time ends when contestants throw their hands up.
o The goat must stay tied for 6 seconds for the time to be official.
o Contestants must quickly exit the arena after retrieving their strings.
o There is a 60 second time limit, when your time is up an airhorn will go off and your time is up
Dummy Roping:
o 3 loops per contestant
o Points allotted for whole head (5), half head (5), slick horns (10)
